PostSlate's philosophy: automation was always meant to aid humans, not
replace them. Everything runs locally on your machine — no cloud upload required.

## Core Features

### Transcript Search
Search across all your footage by what was said. PostSlate transcribes every
clip automatically, then lets you search across every transcript at once.
Type a phrase and surface every clip where it was spoken, with exact timestamps.
No scrubbing, no folder archaeology.

### Face Search (Persona)
Find every shot of a specific person across all your footage. Select a face
once and pull every clip they appear in — including b-roll and cutaways where
you never logged them. Identity carries across projects. Face matching happens
locally; faces are never uploaded anywhere.

### Batch File Renaming
Rename footage from multiple cameras and cards using consistent naming
conventions. Eliminate filename collisions (DSC_0001.mov from two cameras)
and make every clip identifiable by scene, camera, take, and date.

### Bad-Footage Flagging & Quality Sorting (Triage)
Score every clip for focus, sharpness, camera shake, obstructions, and
lighting. Sort footage into quality buckets automatically. Find your best
takes in a pile of unsorted files.

### Arrangement
Arrange shots using transcript context without re-listening. Build sequences
from searched clips and export to your NLE. Supports export to DaVinci Resolve,
Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro (XML/EDL).

### Audio & Transcription
State-of-the-art speech recognition for subtitle/caption generation. Audio
analysis including normalization, peak/valley identification, audio sync
across cameras, and audio problem detection.

### Subtitle Generation
Generate subtitles from transcribed audio and export in standard formats.
